How to identify the true stainless steel 304
1. Magnet identification
Stainless steel vibrating screen commonly adopted 304 stainless steel, use a magnet close will not have the adsorption force, and inferior 201 stainless steel magnet close will produce a slight adsorption force
2. Finish and shade identification
304 material of stainless steel after the polishing, the vibrating screen surface is smooth and tidy, inferior 201 material of stainless steel after the polishing of the vibrating screen surface will have some hemp spots, dark spots.
3. Chemical potion identification
The above two methods are mainly for the identification between SS201 and SUS304 stainless steel, for 304 and 316 stainless steel ,such identification way is basically no effect. But you can quickly separate various types of stainless steel with chemical potions as per following tips :
Drop 1~2 drops of stainless steel identification liquid on the material to be tested, wait for several seconds, display the effect: (such as stainless steel surface stains, the coating must be treated clean before testing)
1) Nickel-free material, the drops instantly become dark red;
2) 201 Stainless steel, liquid droplets instantly become dark brown red;
3) 202 Stainless steel, the liquid drops become light brown red in about 5 seconds;
4) 301 Stainless steel, drops in 1-2 minutes into light brick red;
5) 304 Stainless steel, with droplets without discoloration for 3-5 minutes.
