First, if the gap between sliding pulleys are oversized,more than 20% of the diameter of the steel cords or the steel cords preventing device can not reach the rigidity requirements while steel cords are setting skipping device between them, ,causing damage to the steel cords .
Second, when the inverted pulley’s bottom groove diameter,wrap angle and groove wall wear approach or exceed the specified requirements , steel cords’ corresponding extrusion force and bending stress will be increased.
Third, if the sliding pulleys or rollers’ material can not meet the specified requirements, it will cause steel cords damage because of exceed extrusion stress .wrapping device ,diverting pulley,etc. Due to the daily maintenance, lubrication will lead to early wire arrangement.
Fourth,the steel cords will bend or distortion, or steel cords are not evenly arranged and do not take some measures during installation . If the sliding pulleys or rollers ‘ position are not correct, it will cause steel cords wound into or out of the pulley and the rollers, its deflection angle increase ,that is ,the center line of the steel cords and the plane clip perpendicular to the axis of the pulley or roller are both greater then 4 degree.
Fifth, if any fabrication defects of pulley and rollers ,it will damage the surface of steel cords of bucket elevator during transporting. Improper daily lubrication or improper lubricant selection,incorrect connection between steel cords and wedges. Unreasonable spacing of the turnbuckles, small quantity or the steel cords’ selection does not match the requirements ,improper measures are taken when the end of the steel cords are fixed .
