Screw Conveying equipments are divided into two types: horizontal screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors.
1. The speed of the spiral body of the vertical screw conveyor is higher than that of the ordinary screw conveyor. Under the action of centrifugal force, the added material generates friction with the casing. This friction prevents the material from rotating with the spiral blades and overcomes the gravity of the material falling, thereby realizing the vertical conveying of the material. The machine has a small conveying capacity, a small conveying height, a high speed and a large energy consumption. It is particularly suitable for conveying powdery and granular materials with good fluidity, and is mainly used for lifting materials. The lifting height is generally not more than 8 meters.
2. Horizontal screw conveyor When the material is added to the fixed machine slot, due to the gravity of the material and the friction between the material and the machine slot, the material accumulated at the bottom of the machine slot does not rotate with the spiral body, but only moves forward under the push of the rotating spiral blade, just like the non-rotating nut moves along the rotating screw rod, so as to achieve the purpose of conveying the material. The machine is convenient for multi-point loading and unloading, and can simultaneously complete the mixing, stirring or cooling functions during the conveying process. It is sensitive to overload and easy to block; it has crushing loss to the material. The structure of the horizontal screw conveyor is simple, easy to install, maintain and troubleshoot. It is suitable for continuous and uniform conveying of loose materials at a horizontal or slightly inclined position (below 20º). The working environment temperature is -20-+40℃, and the conveying material temperature is -20-+80℃.
